So we've been working on performing our tunes in a different manner; chilled. So the electric guitars going no where, but the drumkits gone and in&nbsp; it's place is the trusty old acoustic act favourite the 'Cajon' although this time played in an appropriate fashion. oh yeah. looking forward to it, it's sounding good, &amp; coming soon to a venue near you. R

So the setup sounds good....... I just need to capture it. In comes the mighty Royer R121 ribbon mic, this mic seems to be able to capture the way a guitar/amp sounds without having to resort to EQ/compression etc. Love it. Guitars track setups: Strat rhythm guitar: Strat spilt into two amps with a lehle dual: 1 into a Dr Z Carmen Ghia head/Dr Z 210 cab mic'd with a Royer R121 a little bit of a sennheiser 421 and a coles 4038 as a room mic. I also had my Dr Z Jaz head/Dr Z 112 (vintage 30) cab on just feeding the room mic. 335 rhythm gtr: 335 into the Ghia/112 (vintage 30) cab recorded with a coles 4038 a bit of the R121 mixed in and the 4038 room mic. Custom colours, i'm naming it the 'Sin City' amp. This is the amp thats making me sell my Fender Custom Shop it does fender better than fender. Planning to use this amp on it's own and as The A side (Clean side) of my amp rig &nbsp;when the gig allows it and my back alows me, with the Carmen Ghia handling the B (dirty side) of course the dual A+B channel is going to be a heavily used option, ultimate tone heaven. Expect to hear this amp on a track or two soon.
